This instrument is suitable for measuring the macroscopic roughness of road surfaces. The principle is to spread dry sand with a known volume and specified particle size into a circle of a certain area on the road surface. Based on the ratio of the volume of sand to the average area of the covered surface, it is called the depth of road structure, measured in millimeters, which can reflect the macroscopic roughness of the road surface

Main technical parameters:

1. Measuring cylinder: diameter of 25 ± 0.15mm.

2. Laying board: Stick a 3mm rubber sheet underneath.

3. Windshield.

4. Construct a depth gauge.

5. Other items include: sandbags, sand bottles, 3 paint brushes, and dry sand with a particle size of 0.15-0.3mm (not included in this set of instruments)
