This instrument is designed according to the T0349-2005 specification of the Ministry of Transport for the methylene blue test of fine aggregates. It adopts advanced frequency modulation and numerical control technology to improve the accuracy and speed of the test. It is a necessary specialized instrument in the laboratory. This method is suitable for determining the presence of expansive clay minerals in fine aggregates and determining their content to evaluate the cleanliness of the aggregates, as well as the methylene blue value MBV.

This method is applicable to fine aggregates smaller than 2.36mm or 0.15mm, and can also be used for quality inspection of mineral powder.

When the pass rate of 0.075mm in fine aggregate is less than 3%, this test can be considered qualified without conducting it.
