DT-7A Non Ignition Tester

The non sparking tester is newly developed by our company for testing the non sparking properties of (explosion-proof) building floor materials and their products. The test grinding wheel uses a diameter of 150mm, and the speed during the test should be 600~1000r/min. At a linear velocity approximately equivalent to the impact of an iron object falling freely from a height of 3 meters on the ground, the test block is polished in a dark room or at night for the sparking test. If no sparks are generated, it is qualified.

The non sparking tester has special fire and explosion prevention requirements in areas such as liquefied petroleum gas stations, gas production plants, oil liquefaction warehouses, oil station docks, and other flammable and explosive projects and warehouses. The requirements for ground materials are very strict, and they must have non sparking properties. The so-called non sparking property refers to the absence of sparks or sparks when the material used experiences mechanical interactions such as friction, impact, or abrasion with hard objects such as metal or stone.

The experimental grinding wheel needs to be checked for its ability to separate sparks in a dark room. Check whether the grinding wheel is qualified. When the grinding wheel rotates, use test specimens such as tool steel, quartzite, or concrete containing quartzite that can generate sparks for friction. A pressure of 10-20N should be applied during friction. If clear sparks occur, the grinding wheel is considered qualified.
