1、 Scope of application
This instrument is suitable for determining the theoretical maximum relative density of asphalt mixture using vacuum method, and is used for asphalt mixture mix design, road condition investigation, or pavement construction quality management calculation of void ratio, compaction degree, etc. The instrument is not suitable for asphalt mixtures with porous aggregates that have a water absorption rate greater than 3%. This instrument consists of a frame, an imported vacuum extractor, a vibrator, an air valve, a vacuum gauge, an absolute pressure gauge, and other vacuum containers, as well as control electrical appliances. Its structure is reasonable and easy to use, and it can perform parallel tests on two samples simultaneously. This instrument adopts negative pressure control method to avoid the phenomenon of insufficient or excessive vacuum extraction caused by the original equipment. Equipped with a precision pressure regulating device and a high-precision digital absolute pressure sensor, coupled with our newly developed dedicated controller, it can automatically control the negative pressure of the container at 3.7KPa ± 0.3KPa, completely avoiding the requirements of the latest JTG 3410-2025 "Test Code for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Engineering" T0711-2025 vacuum method mixture theoretical maximum relative density test specification.
